Habitat Foundation is a nonprofit public charity working at the intersection of technology, media, and education for social change.

We start from a simple premise: a community is composed of the expressions of everyone in it — what people say, make, and pass on. Much of that goes unheard. Habitat exists to help it be heard, so that the story a community tells about itself stays grounded in the actual lives lived there.

We use new technology to support the work of teaching, building, and publishing — our own, and that of others. And as a public charity, we support the individuals and organizations whose work is closest to this mission.
